The Diamond Heels just completed a 2-2 week that included a series win over Notre Dame in South Bend this past weekend. But before that, the Tar Heels dropped a game against Coastal Carolina, preventing a winning week.
It also prevented the Tar Heels from moving up in the latest USA Today Sports coaches poll released on Monday.
The Tar Heels fell one spot in the poll from No. 14 to No. 15 after going .500 in the week. UNC was jumped by Campbell, Boston College and Kentucky in the new poll as well.
As for the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Tar Heels are the fifth-highest-ranked team behind Wake Forest, Virginia, Boston College and Louisville.
