There is yet another big name entering the transfer portal. Max Abmas is making himself available after four seasons with Oral Roberts.
Abmas has averaged over 20 points per game in the last three seasons while helping lead the Golden Eagles to the NCAA Tournament twice. The Texas native has spent four seasons with Oral Roberts and has a career average of 20.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
In those 123 career games, Abmas has shot 43.6% from the floor and 38.8% from beyond the arc. He converted 100+ three-point shots in each of the last three seasons.
This isn’t much of a shock after head coach Paul Mills left Oral Roberts to take over the Wichita State Shockers men’s basketball program shortly after his team was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. It is possible that Abmas could follow his head coach or perhaps a return to the Lone Star State could be in order.
The 6-foot-1-inch guard would be an asset to just about any major program across the country.
BREAKING: Oral Roberts star Max Abmas is in the transfer portal. Averaged 21.9 points this season, 22.8 points last season, 24.5 points in 20-21.
