INGLEWOOD, Calif. — After revealing the night 2 attendance for WrestleMania 39, The Miz turned to Snoop Dogg to take issue with the way he booked Miz in an impromptu match against Pat McAfee in a $10,000 suit.
“You want to do it again?” Snoop asked. As it turns out, he wasn’t kidding, because even though he initially looked like he was apologizing, he instead brought out Shane McMahon.
Calling for a ref, another match was on. And after it appeared Miz was going to beat McMahon, who went down in the corner and needed medical attention, Snoop took matters into his own hands, taking Shane’s place in the match and dropping Miz with a pair of right hands.
Tossing his sunglasses into the crowd, Snoop hit his own version of The Rock’s People’s Elbow. He covered Miz for the pin, and it’s safe to say the host of WrestleMania 39 will leave Los Angeles as the most miserable person involved in the show.
During the post-WrestleMania press conference Sunday night, Paul “Triple H” Levesque confirmed that McMahon tore his quad during the segment, forcing them to call an audible with Snoop. He also tipped his hat to Snoop for being a consummate professional and noted that not every performer would have been able to pivot so effortlessly under the same circumstances.
