For the Cincinnati Bengals and their fans, the saga between the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson has been intriguing to watch.
That saga keeps getting new twists and turns added to the mix, with Jackson most recently, very publicly talking about his injury last year.
But Bengals defensive tackle DJ Reader is one of those who thinks the whole situation isn’t totally fair to Jackson, as noted by a message he posted recently: “People really don’t understand how good 8 is man. No way they can be watching the same football games I’m watching. It’s impossible.”
The former unanimous MVP hasn’t been able to reach a long-term deal with the Ravens, who have since hit him with the franchise tag. Jackson has yet to find a team willing to pay the cost to pry him away from the Ravens.
If anyone would know how great Jackson is, it’s defenders like Reader who have had to see him at least twice a year for a while. Oddly enough, the current drama could mean Jackson is out of the AFC North entirely soon.
