Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie gives credit to shooters for win over Rockets

Spencer Dinwiddie gave credit to the team’s shooters for Wednesday’s win over the Houston Rockets.

NEW YORK — Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie had quite the performance in Wednesday’s 123-114 win over the Houston Rockets. In the come-from-behind victory, Dinwiddie had 20 points and 11 assists while being very efficient shooting the basketball. However, he chose to give a certain group of teammates credit for the win.

“I mean, you know, we have great shooters in general,” Dinwiddie said after the win in which Brooklyn came back from a nine-point fourth quarter deficit to win the game in electric fashion. “You know, Royce (O’Neale), the guy’s knocked it down in his career, Doe (Dorian Finney-Smith) CJ (Cam Johnson), obviously. And Joe (Harris) are kind of historically great three-point shooters,” Dinwiddie continued. While Harris did not make a three in this game, O’Neale, Finney-Smith, and Johnson combined to go 10-of-21 from three-point land (47.6%).

This game came down to three-point shooting for Brooklyn as they made nine threes in the fourth quarter to make their exciting comeback against the Rockets. After a solid shooting performance in the first quarter, Brooklyn was excellent in the fourth quarter as they shot 81.8% from behind the three-point line in the period to make their comeback in a hurry. “So, you think at some point in time, the tide will turn. And, hopefully this fourth quarter was the start of that,” Dinwiddie explained.
