Indiana has already reached out to Caleb Love

The Indiana Hoosiers have reached out former UNC basketball guard Caleb Love in the transfer portal.

It didn’t take long for former UNC basketball guard Caleb Love to receive interest in the transfer portal after making the decision to enter on Monday.

Per a report, the Indiana Hoosiers have already made contact with Love in the portal and apparently there is some mutual interest there. Per Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com on 247Sports, the Hoosiers have reached out to Love and his father, with both showing interest in the program.

The Hoosiers did recruit Love out of high school before he committed to North Carolina over 25 other offers. But now, he could be headed to Assembly Hall for his senior year.

Love spent three seasons at North Carolina after committing as a five-star recruit out of Missouri. In those four years, Love helped lead UNC to the NCAA Tournament twice including a run to the national championship game last season. He hit one of the most iconic shots, draining a dagger three over Mark Williams against Duke in the Final Four.

For Love, it was best for both sides to move on after this past season after he struggled in his junior season. Love has two years of eligibility left in his career.

North Carolina will need to fill some holes on the roster this offseason and have already landed one player out of the portal. They are still very active in the portal and the hope is they can fill some of those needs there.
