There are a lot of unknowns on the offensive side of the ball for the Alabama Crimson Tide heading into spring ball. The quarterback position is the biggest question Nick Saban and company will have to answer after Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young departs for the NFL draft, but that has been expected for a few years.
The wide receiver position is a different story for Alabama because a few players surprisingly departed via the transfer portal. The receiving corps wasn’t necessarily a strong suit in 2022, so there is definitely room for younger guys to crack the lineup. Malik Benson is a name to keep an eye on as the Tide goes through spring ball according to On3.
Benson was the top receiver in the 2023 recruiting cycle and enrolled in classes starting in January. Jermaine Burton’s experience will be very essential for the Tide, but Benson is the guy who can completely change the dynamics of the Alabama offense.
Through winter workouts and this portion of spring ball, here are 20 lesser-hyped offensive newcomers generating buzz and that teams see as having a chance to be high level contributors this season https://t.co/B3Bypqj5JI pic.twitter.com/m7jksqG0xj
