The Green Bay Packers will open the 2023 offseason workout program on April 17, hold six different sessions of organized team activities across May and June and conclude the program with a three-day mandatory minicamp in mid-June.
The team announced the dates on Friday:
First Day: April 17
OTAs: May 22-23, May 25, May 30-31, June 2, June 5-6, June 8
Mandatory Minicamp: June 13-15
The program is split up into three phases.
Phase One opens the program with two weeks of meetings, strength and conditioning and physical rehab only.
Phase Two is the next three weeks and provides opportunities for on-field workouts and walkthrough-pace sessions.
Phase Three is the next four weeks and allows 10 days of OTAs, which can include 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills without live contact. The CBA gives teams the opportunity to hold a mandatory three-day minicamp during Phase Three.
Teams will also have the chance to hold a seven-week rookie developmental program beginning on May 15.
Because the Packers returned coach Matt LaFleur, the team is not allowed to hold a voluntary veteran minicamp. Only teams with new coaches get this early access.
