In the aftermath of signing Mecole Hardman, the Jets are trading WR Elijah Moore, who had requested a trade back in October, to the Cleveland Browns, per Ian Rapoport.

The Jets are also trading a third-round pick, No. 74 overall. In return, the Jets are getting Cleveland’s second-round pick, No. 42 overall. This gives the Jets two straight picks in the second round, as they now have picks 42 and 43.

The Jets get some extra draft capital to work with both for own purposes and in the eventual trade for Aaron Rodgers. They also quickly found their replacement for Moore.
