Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (37-36) visit the Dallas Mavericks (36-36) Wednesday in a pivotal matchup in the Western Conference playoff race. Tip-off from American Airlines Center is at 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Mavericks nickname odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Warriors snapped a 3-game losing skid with a 121-108 victory against the Houston Rockets as 11.5-point road favorites Monday. They’re just 4-6 in their last 10 games and have slipped to the 6th seed in the Western Conference, only a half-game clear of the Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Mavericks are 2-2 in their last 4 games as they have been without PG Luka Doncic as he recovers from a thigh injury. They are 2-1-1 against the spread in that stretch and there’s a chance they could get their star back Wednesday, which would provide a huge boost. Dallas is 4-6 in its last 10 games and is tied with the Thunder for the 7th seed in the conference.

Warriors at Mavericks picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 118, Mavericks 113

Moneyline

There’s a lot that’s still to be determined with this matchup when it comes to injuries, particularly concerning the statuses of Doncic and Irving. If they’re both ruled out, the spread and money line will shift further in the Warriors’ favor. If they play, it’ll be even closer to a pick ’em game.

Regardless, I like the Warriors in this matchup. They got back on track Monday against the Rockets, albeit in a much easier matchup than they’ll face tonight. BET WARRIORS (-130) to win outright.

Against the spread

The Mavericks have been terrible against the spread this season, going 27-42-3 ATS. They’re 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 games which is a half-game better than the Warriors’ record in that same span.

The Warriors are 10-7 ATS as 1-4.5 point favorites, according to Covers.com, so they do a good job covering close games as favorites.

BET WARRIORS -2.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Under is 2-1 in the Warriors’ last 3 games and 5-1 in the Mavericks’ last 6. The total is still set fairly high despite the uncertainty about Doncic and Irving, which is why I like the Under tonight in a road game for the Warriors.

The Under is 5-1-1 in the Warriors’ last 7 games after they covered the spread. BET UNDER 235.5 (-115).
