One UNC basketball player in top 100 of 2023 NBA draft big board

Just one UNC basketball player made ESPN’s Top 100 big board for the 2023 NBA draft.

The 2022-23 season for North Carolina ended a week ago when it was not selected to the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Now that the tournament has reached the Sweet 16, the focus slowly shifts to decisions players will make across the country.

The 2023 NBA draft is a few months away and prospects are hoping to capitalize on the season and climb the draft big boards. The latest big board on ESPN, however, isn’t too kind to the Tar Heels.

UNC has just one prospect in the top 100: Caleb Love at No. 97.

Love just wrapped up his third season at North Carolina, and it was a struggle for the guard. Inconsistency reared its ugly head too often which is unfortunate after the 2022 NCAA Tournament run he had for the Tar Heels.

The guard is likely not returning for a fourth year at North Carolina meaning it’s either the transfer portal or potentially the draft. But as the big board on ESPN shows, Love has work to do to get his stock up here in the coming months.
