Alabama men’s basketball returns to the Sweet 16 for the second time in three years after defeating Maryland in the Round of 32 with a final score of 73-51.
The game started off slow for the Crimson Tide, but picked up toward the end of the first half. In the second half of the contest, Jahvon Quinerly and the rest of Alabama’s offense exploded. A five-point lead at the half grew to a 22-point lead to end the game.
The Aztecs of San Diego State await the Crimson Tide in the Sweet 16, which should make for an interesting game to watch as the two styles of play could lead to a high-scoring affair.
