Hubert Davis and his staff at North Carolina are starting to do their homework on a few guards in the transfer portal. With the 2022-23 season over for the Tar Heels, Davis is focusing on the roster for next season and that includes options in the transfer portal.
On Wednesday, North Carolina reached out to guard Nick Timberlake out of Towson. Now, they are looking at an Ivy League guard, contacting Paxson Wojcik out of Brown.
Per Joe Tipton of On3, the Tar Heels and Kansas Jayhawks are the latest teams to reach out to Wojcik:
North Carolina, Kansas, Notre Dame and Stanford are the latest schools to reach out to Brown grad transfer Paxson Wojcik, he tells @On3sports.
Will also complete an in-home visit with Butler today. https://t.co/CLYNWzy4Fa

The graduate transfer spent the first two years of his career at Loyola Chicago before transferring to Brown for the last two years.
He averaged 14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 46.1% from the field and 38% from the 3-point line.
In a loss at UNC in the 2021-22 season, Wojcik scored 14 points on 7-of-19 shooting including going 0-for-5 from the 3-point line.
It’s clear UNC is going to need to replace production with the departures they have and early on, they are looking at guards. I imagine they will dig into the forward position as well in the portal.
