The Jets have made a move to keep one of their good, young defensive ends. Per Jason Fitzgerald of Over the Cap, the Jets will extend a second-round tender to restricted free agent Bryce Huff.

The tender would pay Huff $4.3 million this season. Another team can sign Huff to an offer sheet. The Jets can match that offer sheet or let Huff walk and receive a second-round pick as compensation. Chances are, Huff will at least take the tender and the Jets can always work to extend Huff.
Huff recorded 3.5 sacks in limited action in 2022 and looks poised to take on a bigger role in 2023. The Jets still have to decide on Carl Lawson and also are ready to give bigger roles to Jermaine Johnson and Micheal Clemons.
