Ravens named as fit for star Eagles CB by The Draft Network

The Ravens were named as a fit for a star Eagles cornerback by The Draft Network

The Baltimore Ravens currently employ one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in Marlon Humphrey. While he has proven to be a star through and through, Baltimore still needs depth at the other spots at the position in order to be competitive moving forward.

When listing off fits for Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay, Justin Melo of The Draft Network named Baltimore as a top landing spot for the star. Melo talked about how ex-Eagles passing game coordinator Dennard Wilson moved to the Ravens to become their defensive backs coach, while Slay should welcome an opportunity to join the Baltimore franchise.

“…ex-Eagles passing game coordinator Dennard Wilson recently resigned from his position in Philadelphia to become Baltimore’s new defensive backs coach. Wilson helped oversee an Eagles secondary that allowed a league-low 179.8 passing yards per contest. Baltimore are annual postseason contenders and Slay should welcome an opportunity to join an illustrious franchise.”

Slay would add another true No. 1 cornerback next to a superstar in Humphrey, and would give the Ravens one of the best one-two punches at the position in the NFL.
