Reports of Tom Brady unretiring to join the Dolphins are already swirling (again)

Wait … could Tom Brady unretire … again?

After making a beachside retirement announcement in February, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady … shocker … might not actually be done with the NFL.

NFL Network’s Rich Eisen shared on Monday in an assembly of 2023 NFL Scouting Combine rumors that Brady could actually return to the league for a 24th season. He pegged the Miami Dolphins as a possible landing spot.

Eisen mentioned that, if something happens with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s medical situation and he’s not ready to play, the team could hypothetically turn to TB12.

“There’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself,” Eisen said of what the Dolphins might do in the event Tagovailoa isn’t healthy. “Keep an eye on that.”

It should be said with waving flags that this is just a rumor, and it also should be noted that the Dolphins don’t have a 2023 first-round pick right now because of a tampering scandal involving Brady and Broncos coach Sean Payton.

Nobody knows for certain what Brady will do next, and the best bet is still that he’ll stay retired and start his broadcasting career with Fox Sports in fall 2024.

Although, Brady just pulled a retirement/unretirement last March, so you can’t rule anything out when it comes to the future Hall of Famer and his career plans. We’ll just have to wait and see.
