Senior forward Armando Bacot continues to make his mark in the UNC basketball record books.
After becoming the team’s all-time leader in rebounds and double-doubles earlier this season, Bacot is now climbing the all-time scoring list. And on Saturday, he passed a legend in the process.
During Saturday’s game against Duke, Bacot passed Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list for North Carolina. He needed 11 points going into the game and got them in the second half. He’s now 14th on the all-time list with 1,789 points.
Bacot accomplished the feat with two free throws early in the second half.
In four years, Bacot has developed into a really good player and is a candidate for the ACC Player of the Year after losing it last season to Wake Forest’s Aldones Williams.
