The Auburn Tigers picked up the win they had to have Saturday, taking down the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers 79-70 in Neville Arena.
Auburn’s starters led the way with four of them finishing in double figures. The only exception was [autotag]Zep Jasper[/autotag] who played tenacious defense and did his part.
[autotag]Wendell Green Jr.[/autotag] led all players with 24 points and was a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line to help ice the game. [autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag] was just short of a double-double with 17 points and seven rebounds but added four blocks as he controlled the paint.
If it was their last game inside Neville Arena, [autotag]Jaylin Williams[/autotag] and [autotag]Allen Flanigan[/autotag] both went out with a bang. Williams had 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists while Flanigan added 16 points.
