In the first half, it was quite the example of how the tables have turned. Boston won the first quarter 37-15 thanks to Brooklyn being unable to do anything on either end of the floor as well as Cameron Johnson dealing with foul trouble through the half. The Nets won the second quarter 40-27 thanks to Brooklyn turning up its defensive intensity as well as the Celtics coming down to earth with its shooting.
In the second half, Brooklyn continued its dominance by winning the third quarter 34-20. It was more of the same as the Nets continued its improved play while Boston faltered especially with Robert Williams leaving in the third quarter with hamstring tightness. The Celtics were unable to get back on track after leading 51-23 in the second quarter and the Nets finished the comeback with a 38-point swing.
