Texas A&M (22-8, 14-3 SEC) will finish out their 2022-2023 regular season to face the No.2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon, and even though the Aggies are officially out of the SEC regular season championship race, they have plenty to play for ahead of what should be a very entertaining postseason for the Maroon and White.
After defeating Ole Miss 69-61 on Tuesday night, senior guard Tyrece “Boots” Radford led the team with 13 points, followed by one of Wade Taylor IV’s less spectacular scoring nights with just 12 points, but did record 5 rebounds and 7 assists on the night. As a team, the Aggies were stellar on the board with 40 rebounds, while notching 11 steals and forcing 19 turnovers against the Rebels on defense.
On Friday, ESPN “Bracketologist” Joe Lunardi released his newest bracket before Saturday’s season finale, and after placing Texas A&M as an 8 seed after falling to Mississippi State the previous weekend, the Aggies have shot back up to the 7 seed line with a great chance to further bolster their resume with a win against Alabama, and a solid showing the SEC Tournament later next week.
Texas A&M vs. Alabama is set for Saturday, March 4th at 11:00 AM CT. and will air on CBS.
