The Washington Commanders may not fully be committed to Sam Howell just yet. But they are giving him a shot to be the starter at least moving into the offseason.
Howell made just one start for the Commanders a season ago, beating the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18. In that game, Howell flashed his potential and showed what he can be moving forward.
And now an NFL analyst is seeing a bright future in Howell as well.
Daniel Jeremiah wrote on the Commanders situation with Howell and had nothing but praise for him.
But I’m bullish on him. I think he has a chance to be a good player. I think we’ll see. I think the league missed on that one allowing him to fall as far as they did.
Howell did fall in the 2022 NFL draft after leaving UNC following his junior season.
It’s too early to say if Howell will pan out just yet but at least he’s getting his shot to sign.
