Daniel Jeremiah talks his ‘dream scenario’ for Titans’ first-round pick

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah explained what his “dream scenario” would be for the Titans at No. 11 overall.

The offensive tackle position is arguably the Tennessee Titans’ biggest need to address this offseason.

Unless the Titans decide to go get their franchise quarterback of the future, it would probably be wise of them to use this opportunity at No. 11 overall to pick one of the best offensive tackle prospects in the draft.

Taylor Lewan is no longer on the team, and to say the depth behind him in 2022 was a disaster would be putting it lightly. This team desperately has to address that position this offseason.

Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network recently held a conference call and he discussed a “dream scenario” for the Titans that had them landing one of the safest offensive line prospects in quite some time, Peter Skoronski.

Here is what Jeremiah had to say about the Northwestern product:

“Obviously tackle is going to be a glaring need for them,” Jeremiah said of the Titans, according to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online. “If you ask me absolute best-case scenario, I’d say somehow Skoronski gets there from Northwestern. I think he can play tackle. I think he could be an unbelievable guard as well. But Skoronski would be my dream scenario.”

Skoronski would be a home-run selection if the Titans do go that route. I genuinely believe, at the very least, you’re either going to have a high-quality left tackle or an All-Pro caliber guard the second he arrives.

Whatever the case may be, the Titans could use help at either spot, so Skoronski’s addition would be more than welcomed.

Skoronski finished his season at Northwestern as Pro Football Focus’ sixth-highest-graded tackle (89.5) after only allowing three hurries, two quarterback hits and one sack on the year.

Jeremiah also went over a scenario in which the Titans address the receiver position in round 1. Here is what the NFL analyst had to say about that possible scenario.

“I don’t think it’s a great receiver draft, but I really do like Jordan Addison (from USC),” he said. “The one reason that might not happen is because he is kind of similar to Robert Woods. So if that wasn’t what they were looking for — if they wanted to get bigger there — then TCU has [Quentin] Johnston, who is a big, fast, physical kid.”

Both Addison and Johnston are probably the two likeliest receivers to come off the board first.

The former USC and Pitt product is undoubtedly the safer choice, but if the Titans want to swing for the fences, then Johnston has a strong argument to make for himself.

Only time will tell how all this will play out but free agency and/or trades could change priorities to some extent depending on who the Titans add to their team prior to the draft.

These next few months will surely be a roller coaster for a Titans fanbase that truly has no idea which direction the team is about to head in.
