The Arizona Cardinals have a new head coach in Jonathan Gannon, and with new leadership there is always a new focus in certain areas. Coaches come in with their key words and themes.
For Bruce Arians, it was trust, loyalty and respect.
For Steve Wilks, it was “trust, commitment and accountability.”
Gannon has four goals for his team.
“We’re going to be adaptable; we’re going to be violent, we’re going to be explosive, and we’re going to be smart,” Gannon said in his introductory press conference.
His coordinators have echoed the focus on violence and explosiveness.
Gannon is process-oriented. Instead of talk about the end goal, he focuses on the present and the process, believing the result will take care of itself.
Wilks preached the same thing. Arians was very open about the end goal of winning multiple Super Bowls.
Kinsgbury was very methodical about everything.
We will see how everything unfolds for the Cardinals as the offseason progresses and the season approaches.
