Rams ‘very likely’ to trade Jalen Ramsey, already talking to teams

The Rams have already had trade talks with other teams and are “very likely” to deal him in the coming weeks

There have been rumors all offseason about the Los Angeles Rams possibly trading Jalen Ramsey, and it now seems likely to happen. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Rams have already had trade talks with other teams about their All-Pro cornerback and are “very likely” to deal him in the coming weeks.

This doesn’t come as a huge surprise because the Rams are trying to clear cap space, and trading Ramsey would save them $5.6 million in 2023.

Ramsey has been with the Rams since he was acquired in a trade during the 2019 season. He signed a five-year deal worth $100 million before the 2020 season, locking him in through 2025. However, it doesn’t look like he’ll reach the end of that contract with the Rams.

Los Angeles is also splitting with Bobby Wagner, mutually agreeing to part ways, so the front office is doing what it can to create cap space before the 2023 season.

In three-plus seasons with the Rams, Ramsey has recorded 209 tackles, 10 interceptions and two sacks. He made the Pro Bowl every year and was voted a first-team All-Pro in both 2020 and 2021.
