Rocksteady announces Suicide Squad release date at State of Play

Rocksteady finally announced the Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League release date during the February State of Play in new co-op trailer

Rocksteady finally announced the Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League release date during the February PlayStation State of Play. Suicide Squad launches May 26, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and Rocksteady debuted a new trailer highlighting some of the superhero game’s action and heroes.

An evil villain has corrupted the Justice League, leaving Harley Quinn, Boomerang, and their team as the only ones who can stand against the bent heroes and keep the city safe. What that translates to is a multiplayer co-op shooter where you and either three friends or three bots that stand in for friends venture across the city, track down the Justice League, and try to restore order with chaos.

Suicide Squad uses a gear score system similar to Marvel’s Avengers and other live service games, and it even has a battle pass. Rocksteady was adamant that this is not a live game, though. It’s a standalone experience, more like Gotham Knights than Avengers.

It’s the first we’ve seen of Kill the Justice League in a while. The game made an appearance briefly in 2022, and Rocksteady announced Kevin Conroy would voice Batman, after the actor’s death near the end of the year.
