Eagles news: Broncos set to hire Vance Joseph for defensive coordinator position

After spending two days interviewing with the Eagles, Vance Joseph is set to be hired as the Denver Broncos’ defensive coordinator

Vance Joseph spent Wednesday and Thursday interviewing with the Eagles for their vacant defensive coordinator job, but he’ll now be taking his talents to Denver.

Peter Schrager is reporting that Joseph has been hired as the Broncos’ defensive coordinator, replacing Ejiro Evero, who was hired by the Panthers for the same position.

Prior to meeting with the Eagles, Joseph had previously interviewed with the Broncos and new head coach Sean Payton. Denver was also looking at former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan for the role as well.

The Eagles are looking to replace Jonathan Gannon, who left last week to become head coach of the Cardinals.
