Nick Smith Jr. silences doubters, leads Razorbacks in 97-65 win over Georgia

Nick Smith Jr.’s career night helped lead the Hogs to a rout of Georgia. Here’s a closer look at Arkansas’ 97-65 win.

When news broke that star freshman Nick Smith Jr. was returning from injury two weeks ago, Arkansas was in the midst of a five-game conference winning streak. A segment of Razorback “fans” thought that adding a projected NBA lottery talent would mess up the team’s chemistry and they would be worse off for it.

After his performance in Tuesday night’s 97-65 blowout win over the Georgia Bulldogs, it’s safe to say that those people were wrong.

The star freshman finished with a career-high 26 points on 5-8 shooting from behind the arc and looked the most confident he has in his short Arkansas career. He wasn’t the only one on fire from deep tonight though. [autotag]Ricky Council[/autotag] went 3-6 from deep with 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals off the bench.

It was a complete game from the Razorbacks as they were all over the Bulldogs from the opening tip. Let’s take a closer look at Tuesday night’s emphatic win in Bud Walton Arena.
