NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah: ‘I love the fit’ of Florida QB Anthony Richardson in Detroit in the draft

Add NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah to the growing chorus of fans of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson’s potential and his fit with the Detroit Lions in the 2023 NFL draft.

Jeremiah made it clear he is a big fan of a potential draft marriage between the Lions and Richardson. He posted on his Twitter account that Richardson,

“has the most upside of any QB in this draft. I love the fit in Detroit. No rush to get him on the field. Goff can hold it down until he’s ready. The payoff could be HUGE.”

Richardson has become quite the polarizing prospect in this draft cycle. At Florida, Richardson flashed considerable athletic potential but also some need for considerable growth before he’s ready to take the helm of any NFL team. Jeremiah falls into the camp that believes Richardson could develop into a great NFL player in time, and Detroit is the ideal scenario to give Richardson that time to grow and develop.

Do you agree with Jeremiah?
