Auburn favored in upcoming Vanderbilt tilt

Will the Tigers get a win after losing three of their last four games?

The Tigers could get back on track with a win over the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, and one publication favors them to do just that.

ESPN’s BPI has Auburn at a 69.7% chance to knock off Vanderbilt on the Commodores’ home court. The Tigers have lost three of their last four games, so a win in Nashville could be the start of a momentum swing for the struggling Auburn squad.

Auburn may not be ranked in either the coaches or AP poll, but BPI still has the team in the top 25. The Tigers currently sit at No. 21 in BPI, far above Vanderbilt’s ranking of No. 93 — as such, it makes sense that ESPN would have the Tigers favored despite playing on an away court. That being said, Auburn is currently one rank ahead of the Texas A&M Aggies, who defeated the Tigers at the beginning of February.

The last time Auburn and Vanderbilt met, the Tigers defeated the Commodores 94-80 in the regular season.
