The recruiting dead period ends Feb. 28 and the Volunteers will begin hosting some of the top prospects in the class of 2024 and 2025.
Four-star linebacker Weston Port received a scholarship offer from Tennessee on Dec. 5. Port has scheduled his first visit to Knoxville on April 4.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker is from San Juan Hills High School in San Juan Capistrano, California. He is the No. 62 overall prospect in the class of 2025. Port ranks as the No. 8 linebacker and No. 10 player in the state of California, according to the 247Sports composite.
As a sophomore in 2022, Port finished the season 97 total tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He earned second-team MaxPreps High School Sophomore All-American honors and was first-team All-State last season.
Port will take visits in March and April, including UCLA, Oklahoma, BYU, Georgia, Auburn and Miami.
