Angel Reese, Jasmine Carson set records in LSU’s win over Florida

Reese and Carson impressed in Sunday’s big road win, scoring a combined 50 of LSU’s 90 points.

The LSU Tigers women’s basketball team strung together its second-straight win since a disappointing loss to South Carolina on Sunday, beating Florida on the road 90-79.

The Tigers got monster performances from a pair of standouts in [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] and [autotag]Jasmine Carson[/autotag], who each scored 25 points in a win that saw them walk away holding new records.

Reese is the first SEC player over the last 20 years to total 25 points, 15 rebounds and five assists in a conference game. Carson, meanwhile, tied the LSU school record for most made threes against a conference opponent with seven in the win on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers remained No. 5 in the AP Poll this week after winning both their games against Ole Miss and the Gators. Coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] and her team return to the court on Thursday night when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to take on Vanderbilt.
