Joe Burrow’s name came up again during Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration

There was a Joe Burrow namedrop on the field after the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow came up briefly during the post-Super Bowl celebration for the Kansas City Chiefs.

After the Chiefs bested the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57, Patrick Mahomes Sr. name-dropped Burrow during an interview on the field after his son won his second Super Bowl MVP award.

Mahomes Sr. and Chiefs players made a point to meme Burrow and Cincinnati’s post-game cigar celebrations after the AFC title game and that was the case again here. Appearing in a video with Emmanuel Acho, Mahomes Sr. said he put down the Joe Burrow in favor of a Philadelphia special.

If nothing else, it’s another sign of the continued blossoming of one of the NFL’s best new rivalries, which will get at least one more installment next year with the two scheduled to play each other during the regular season.

Bengals players also had reactions to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, especially with the controversial call late.
