USA TODAY Sports’ bracketology update still has Gators on bubble

The Gators have lost two in a row, but they were against teams with much better chances in the tournament, thus remaining on the bubble.

Less than three weeks remain in February which means that March Madness is quickly drawing near. College basketball teams around the nation have been busy tidying up their 2022-23 season resumes in a bid to make the annual Big Dance, which starts on March 14 and lasts until a winner is crowned on April 3 in Houston, Texas.

Florida basketball faces an uphill climb to crack the top 68 schools that will earn an invite to the sports’ premier event. Currently sitting at 13-11 overall with a 6-5 mark in Southeastern Conference play, [autotag]Todd Golden[/autotag]’s squad has been teetering on the edge of the bracketology bubble for quite some time.

USA TODAY Sports’ Eddie Timanus Paul Myerberg Erick Smith put together their updated bracket predictions for the 2023 NCAA Tournament with the Orange and Blue remaining in the “First Four Out” tier, with the Missouri Tigers, Wisconsin Badgers and Utah State Aggies.

The Southeastern Conference has a total of six bids in the final 68, represented by the Alabama Crimson Tide (No. 1 seed), Tennessee Volunteers (No. 2), Arkansas Razorbacks (No. 7), Auburn Tigers (No. 9), Texas A&M Aggies (No. 11) and the Kentucky Wildcats in the “Last Four In”. Mississippi State Bulldogs also got a mention in the “Last Four Out” group.
