LSU makes top 7 for top-100 WR Aeryn Hampton

The Tigers seemingly have some ground to make up here, but they remain in the race.

[autotag]Aeryn Hampton[/autotag] is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound, four-star wide receiver from the class of 2024.

Hampton is from Daingerfield, Texas, where he plays for Dangerfield High School. The Daingerfield Tigers finished the 2022 season 10-3 with a loss to Newton in the Regional round of the Texas UIL 3A playoffs.

Hampton recently released a list of his top seven schools and the LSU Tigers made the list. LSU joins Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Michigan and Nebraska.

There have been four crystal ball projections for Hampton so far. Two of them were for Alabama, one was for Texas and one was for Nebraska. The most recent one was to the Crimson Tide on Jan. 14.

Alabama is a 55% favorite according to On3, as well.

So far, LSU seems like a longshot to land the talented receiver, but there is still a chance for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] to pull it off. LSU’s 2024 recruiting class is currently ranked as the No. 3 class in the country.
