Before the opening kickoff of the 2023 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, Chris Stapleton will lead the singing of the national anthem.
Stapleton, a three-time CMT Artist of the Year and eight-time Grammy Awards winner, will be the latest of a long line of country artists to sing the anthem at the Super Bowl — a list that includes Eric Church, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood, to name a few.
Stapleton went official with the news last week when posting to his Twitter account. He’ll be joined during the pregame show by Babyface, who will sing America the Beautiful, and Sheryl Lee Ralph, who’ll sing Lift Every Voice and Sing.
