The NBA trade deadline is mere hours away, and the Philadelphia 76ers need an upgrade at the backup center position. There are a few options they could turn to.
The names that have popped up the most are Jarred Vanderbilt of the Utah Jazz and former Sixer Nerlens Noel of the Detroit Pistons. Now, another former Sixer could be on their radar as well: Andre Drummond of the Chicago Bulls.
Per Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sixers could look into bringing back Drummond:
Along with Vanderbilt, the Sixers have expressed interest in former Sixer and current Pistons reserve center Nerlens Noel. Chicago Bulls reserve center Andre Drummond, another former Sixer, could also be an option if the asking price is right.
Drummond played 49 games with 12 starts for the Sixers in the 2021-22 season before being shipped to the Brooklyn Nets in the James Harden deal. He averaged 6.1 points and 8.8 rebounds with Philadelphia, and he would solve a number of bench issues for the stretch run.
