Pedro Pascal hosted Saturday Night Live this week, and you knew there had to be some reference to his current HBO hit, The Last of Us, which — as you may know — is an adaptation of a video game.
So SNL had Pascal star in a gritty, post-apocalyptic adaptation of … Mario Kart. Pascal as Mario probably will have Nintendo fans wondering if he was a better choice than Chris Pratt in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie.
You’ll see all kinds of reimagined references, from “Let’s a-go” to Rainbow Road to what Mario’s crew might look like in a series like this. It’s hilarious, trust me.
