Of all the players the Alabama Crimson Tide landed in the transfer portal before the 2022 season, no one was more impactful than former Georgia Tech running back, Jahmyr Gibbs. It felt like every single time the Tide needed a big play in 2022 Gibbs was able to find a way to spark life into the Alabama offense.
As a running back, Gibbs remarkably led the Tide in receptions in 2022 with 44 that went for 444 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, he was a beast as well carrying the ball 151 times for 926 yards and seven touchdowns.
ProFootballFocus ranked the top 15 running backs of the 2022 season and Gibbs was ranked seventh. He was also tabbed as the 54th-best player regardless of position. Michigan’s Blake Corum finished as the top back of the season.
Hopefully Gibbs ends up as a first round draft pick in 2023!
