Phoenix Pinnacle High School football and baseball star Duce Robinson is the main focus of the 2023 class. Robinson is set to announce his decision on Feb. 1, the traditional national signing day.
Robinson saw his ranking rise from No. 30 to No. 19 in the country in recent days. Robinson is the nation’s No. 1 tight end and the No. 1 overall recruit in Arizona for the 2023 class.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound tight end posted 84 receptions for 1,614 yards and 14 touchdowns this past fall and was named a First Team All-American by Max Preps.
A two-sport star at the high school level, Robinson is a talented baseball prospect who is the first All-American in both sports since Kyler Murray. USC’s baseball program has struggled in recent years, and it could certainly use a lift in its own right. Yet, Robinson’s football prowess is hard to ignore, and that’s what the Trojans are coveting more than anything else in this highly-scrutinized recruitment.
Robinson’s final five schools are Texas, Alabama, USC, Georgia and Oregon.
