RIO DE JANEIRO – [autotag]Brunno Ferreira[/autotag] continued the theme of the UFC 283 prelims, where debuting fighters made the most of their first opportunities.
In a middleweight bout he took on eight day’s notice, Ferreira (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) knocked out [autotag]Gregory Rodrigues[/autotag] (13-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) with a devastating left hand that led to a stoppage at 4:13 of Round 1. The event took place Saturday at Jeunesse Arena.
Ferreira was a moderate underdog in most sportsbooks, but proved the oddsmakers wrong with a single punch.

Ferreira, 30, signed with the UFC in September after he knocked out Leon Aliu on Dana White’s Contender Series. In 10 pro fights, Ferreira has a 100 percent finishing rate with eight bouts ending in Round 1.
Rodrigues has a two-fight winning streak snapped as he loses by knockout for the third time in his pro MMA career.
