Tyler Wahl is active and expected to return to the lineup Tuesday night as the Badgers take on Penn State in the Kohl Center at 7:30pm. The senior forward will be back on the court following a three-game absence while dealing with a right ankle injury he sustained versus Minnesota on Jan. 3.
Wahl’s return will be a welcomed one as Wisconsin has dropped three in a row with him unavailable, allowing 70.3 points per game in comparison to the 61.2 PPG they surrender with him on the court. In addition to the defensive woes, the Badgers have struggled on the offensive end without their leading scorer (13.2 PPG), scoring an average of 59.7 points in those three contests (68.5 PPG in 13 games with Wahl).
Penn State will come into Tuesday’s contest having had six days rest since their last game, beating Indiana 85-66 and improving to a 12-5 overall record Wednesday. Wisconsin will look to break their three-game losing streak and improve to 12-5 on the season with a victory at home Tuesday night.
