Sean Desai’s interview ‘excellent,’ Browns could name Joe Woods’ replacement Tuesday

The Browns may be close to ending their search for a new defensive coordinator.

The Cleveland Browns may be nearing the end of their search for a new defensive coordinator after conducting interviews with four candidates. Sean Desai got the last crack today, and according to Cleveland dot com’s Mary Kay Cabot, he impressed the brass in Cleveland. Cabot also hinted that the Browns may be ready to name their replacement for Joe Woods as early as Tuesday, 1/17.

If the news does come down this early, then Brian Flores can likely be ruled out as he is still fielding other interviews, including one for the head coach job in Arizona. This leaves Desai, Jim Schwartz, and Dennard Wilson. Schwartz has been connected to the job for awhile now as well, so it should be an interesting 36 hours in Northeast Ohio.
