Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew didn’t let his old team’s disastrous first half keep him from calling his shot.
Jones-Drew, now an analyst for NFL Network, went on-air at halftime after the Jags went down 27-7 to the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he looked at the team who held the massive lead and made a pretty confident prediction.
He speculated that Los Angeles would do “the most Charger thing to do,” which would be blow that gigantic lead and lose on a last-second field goal.
Well, Jones-Drew must’ve either had a DeLorean and a copy of the Grays Sports Almanac, or he knew that Chargers would again live up to their sordid reputation for closing out games.

The Chargers pulling a, er, Chargers will certainly terrorize this franchise for years to come, but Jones-Drew’s Jaguars will be celebrating the spectacular first playoff win of the Trevor Lawrence/Doug Pederson era.
While everyone else figured the Jags would fold, MJD knew his old team would pull it out in the end. Well, either that, or he remembered who they were playing.
