Four-star 2024 target Justin Scott is down to 8 schools, including USC

Imagine what it would mean for #USC, heading into the #B1G, to land a Chicago-based defensive tackle on the recruiting trail.

USC is off to a fast start in the 2024 recruiting cycle, but it will need to finish strong if it will build the caliber of class it needs to build.

Four-star DL Justin Scott is a 6-5, 310-pound standout who dominates on both sides of the ball. It’s as a defensive tackle where his future is brightest, and that is where the Trojans and defensive line coach Shaun Nua are recruiting him to play.

Landing the Chicago native is a must for USC in the 2024 cycle, to help the Trojans win in the trenches in the Big Ten.

Scott had 37 total tackles (15 solo, 22 assisted), 5 TFL and 2 fumble recoveries as a junior. He is currently ranked as the No. 18 overall player in the nation and the fourth best at his position (DL).

The value of Scott is self-evident, but landing a prospect from the heart of the Midwest would carry significant symbolic importance relative to the Big Ten and send a message to the other schools in USC’s new conference.
