The Philadelphia 76ers return home on Monday from a four-game road trip to host the New Orleans Pelicans looking for some revenge. The Sixers fell to the Pelicans on Friday during their road trip and they will be looking for some payback on the floor.
They might have to go to battle without their superstar big man. Joel Embiid, coming off a triple-double with four blocks in a New Year’s Eve win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, has been downgraded to questionable for the matchup with the Pelicans due to lower back soreness. The big fella is averaging 33.2 points and 9.8 rebounds to go along with a career-high 4.6 assists on the season.

If Embiid can’t go, then the Sixers will have to find a way to slow down Pelicans star Zion Williamson. He had 36 points in the New Orleans win over the Sixers on Friday and he got a majority of those points when Embiid was off the floor.
Tipoff from the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7 p.m. EST.
