The first quarter of Packers-Vikings has been pure football chaos from Lambeau Field.
A blocked punt led to a field goal. The Packers returned a kickoff for a touchdown. And now Green Bay has a defensive touchdown.
Darnell Savage intercepted Kirk Cousins on a deflected pass intended for TJ Hockenson and returned the pick 75 yards for a touchdown, giving the Packers a 14-3 lead with 5:17 left in the opening quarter.
Rasul Douglas helped break up the pass attempt. Savage, with a bevy of blockers in front of him, weaved his way into the end zone.
According to the Packers, this is the first time the team has had a kickoff return for a touchdown and an interception return for a touchdown in the same game since 1967.
