For those who managed to make it down to San Diego despite the bad weather and/or flight cancellations, Oregon made sure the trip was well worth their trouble. This game will be talked about among Duck football fans for years to come as Oregon scored a touchdown with 19 seconds left to stun North Carolina 28-27 in a classic Holiday Bowl.
Oregon could have very well packed it up midway through the fourth quarter as nearly nothing was working offensively. The 24-14 deficit felt like 44-14. But quarterback Bo Nix finally played to form and led the Ducks on two late scoring drives to stun the runner-up from the ACC.
It was certainly a game that will go down in history. The epic win, the first game in Petco Park, and the Camden Lewis extra point that doinked off the upright which made a sound so loud it might have been heard through the Gaslight District of San Diego.
