The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a sight for sore eyes Wednesday when Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen returned to practice for the first time since suffering a knee injury on the second day of training camp.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles was quick to temper expectations, though, making it clear that Jensen has “no chance” to play in Sunday’s critical home finale against the Carolina Panthers.
Jensen has a 21-day window during which he will be able to practice, and is eligible to be activated to the 53-man roster.
Obviously, the return of Jensen would be a huge boost to Tampa Bay’s struggling offense, but the Bucs are clearly taking it slow as he returns to the field.
