Seeing someone hit a game-winner against your favorite team is always a heartbreaking experience.
Now, take that heartbreaking experience and multiply it by 10. I imagine that’s what it feels like to have a game-winner go against you while playing an NBA basketball game. Particularly one in the regular season — the playoffs probably make that a bit worse.
Now, if just seeing the game-winning shot hit against you is that bad, imagine becoming part of the celebration. That has to be infuriating.
That’s what happened to John Collins on Thursday after Ayo Dosunmu hit a game-winning putback shot against Collins’ Hawks. He tripped over Dosunmu in the celebration and they both fell to the ground. The entire Bulls roster rushed Dosunmu and pilled in on him to celebrate the win.
Collins was stuck. It was such a wild scene.

Now, this looks hilarious to all of us. But to Collins? I’m sure he was under there ready to hulk out. Luckily, Dejounte Murray noticed where he was and came over to help him out.
But, man. What a situation to be in. I cannot imagine. Fans had so many things to say about this.
