The Washington Commanders looked hopeless at times on Sunday night against the New York Giants. Offense, defense, and special teams, Washington was having all sorts of problems against the Giants.
In the fourth quarter, with Washington down five points, quarterback Taylor Heinicke needed a spark.
On a first-and-10 from the nine-yard line, Heinicke drops back, and it was clear he was looking deep. He saw rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson streaking down the field in one-on-one coverage.
Heinicke lets it go and goes over the defender to make a ridiculous catch that went for 61 yards, giving Washington’s offense life.
Check it out.
OH. MY. GOD.

Unfortunately for the Commanders, after moving the ball down the field, Heinicke is sacked, forcing Washington to attempt a field goal. After further review, Heinicke fumbled, squandering a potential scoring opportunity for the Commanders.
